Farm to Table
What’s the easiest way to find the best tasting produce? Shop one of Fredericton’s farmers markets! Fredericton is home to many farmers markets, offering everything from fresh vegetables to homemade jams, cheese, bread, soap….you name it!
The Farm Comes to You!
Farmers and local producers from around Fredericton converge every Saturday at the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market. It’s not just a place to shop, but it’s a chance to develop a relationship with your local farmer. Fredericton farmers are passionate about their crops, so if you’re curious about the variety of lettuce, or apple, or potato they grow, ask them! You might just find a new favourite food.
Many local farms are small, family-run operations. They grow a variety of crops you might not have seen before. If you’re hungry for purple carrots or heirloom tomatoes, you’re in the right place.
And be sure to come to market hungry. Vendors serve up tasty snacks from fresh squeezed orange juice to the ultimate Maritime meal, the donair. And don’t forget to take home a few samosas. They’re a Fredericton staple!
Around the World and Back Again
Open Saturdays and Sundays, the Fredericton Northside Market has everything from local food to handmade furniture and clothing. With more than 23,000 square feet to explore, you’ll need both days to take it all in!
For a multicultural feast, there’s no better place than the Cultural Market. Every Saturday, the cultural centre is the place to go to fix every craving you might have! You can find everything from Israeli falafel to Korean barbeque and Afghan palaw. The only problem is deciding what to eat first!
