Beaverbrook Art Gallery Exhibits

Located in the heart of Downtown Fredericton, the world-class and recently renovated Beaverbrook Art Gallery houses one of Canada’s most impressive and varied art collections with new and exciting exhibitions presented on a rotational basis.
Current exhibitions include:
Anna Torma & Brigitte Clavette, Governor General Award Winners – The gallery honours these two extraordinary NB Artists. On display until January 3, 2023.
Wabanaki Modern: The Artistic Legacy of the 1960’s “Micmac Indian Craftsmen” - This exhibition celebrates artists Michael Francis and Stephen Dedham, who were the first modern Indigenous artists in Atlantic Canada. On display until February 26, 2023.
Dawn Steeves: “Capturing Salty Towers”: A painter and visual artist, Dawn Steeves captures the essence of Salty Towers located in St. Andrews, NB. On display until May 28, 2023.
Julie D’Amour-Léger: Crows – Black on White: During the winter of 2017, after an ice storm on her home in the Acadian Peninsula, photographer D’Amour-Léger started taking pictures of the crows who lived in her neighbourhood. This photographic series is visually startling evidence of a dialogue between artist and nature. On display until May 28, 2023.
Ar(t)Chives: Visual Treasures from the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick: Archives are more than simply repositories of paper documents, ledgers, and census volumes; they often hold artistic treasures that tell an entirely different story than one containing only the written word. On display until May 28, 2023.
Peter Powning Retrospective: This major retrospective exhibition will survey the artistic practice of New Brunswick’s Peter Powning from his early production pottery through a remarkable 50-year career trajectory that includes the exploration of a wide diversity of forms and diverse materials, such as glass, clay, cast bronze, stone and steel. On display until March 21, 2023.
