Fredericton’s Hidden Golf Deals Revealed!

The City of Fredericton and surrounding capital region is a hidden gem in the Maritime golf landscape. This region offers exciting, stunning golf experiences for players of all skill levels.
From gorgeous, long, winding courses nestled in nature to tight, pure fairways buried in subdivisions, the Fredericton region boasts course views that will make you want to finally take a lesson, just so you can do them justice. Downtown Fredericton even houses a golf simulator bar!
The capital region is home to around eight golf courses all under 30 minutes away from each other. Only one of these courses is private.
With the fanfare about how awesome this region is for golf aside; we all know a golf trip can be expensive. There are, however, hidden golf deals in this region that you may not know about.
Here’s how you can experience some of the best golf in New Brunswick without breaking the bank.
Kingswood and the Radisson
First is Fredericton’s only stay-and-play deal. The Radisson teamed up with Kingswood Golf. Kingswood provides one of Fredericton’s most visually stunning courses with their signature 18. The facility also has an executive nine-hole.
Two golfers can stay at the Radisson (located next to Kingswood) for two nights and play the Kingswood 18 for $420. The city sweetens the deal by giving those who purchase this package $50 Downtown Dollars or Business Fredericton North Dollars. This is a sort of local currency that can be used at participating businesses. Consider it dinner on the city for your 19th hole celebrations.
Sip & Stay at the Comfort Inn
The crossover between golf lovers and craft beer lovers is massive. If this description fits you, then welcome to Atlantic Canada’s Craft Brewing Capital. Fredericton is well known for its local breweries and it’s for this reason that the city partnered with craft breweries and the Comfort Inn to offer the Sip & Stay package.
This is a two-night stay at the Fredericton Comfort Inn, with $50 Downtown Dollars (or Business Fredericton North Dollars) and $20 Fredericton Taproom Trail Brew Bucks which is money that can be spent at 11 of the city’s tasting rooms.
If you enjoy craft brews as much as you do carefully curated courses, this is the accommodation deal for you.

There’s is quite literally something for everyone.
Gage Golf and Curling Club
The Gage, as it’s referred to locally, is an 18-hole golf course in Oromocto, just 20 minutes from downtown Fredericton. This course is well-maintained, decently intricate without being punishing and one of the most affordable courses in the region. Here are two of their deals worth mentioning.
-
Power cart seats are free after 2pm meaning you can play 18 with a cart for a total of $52.50. This is part of their twilight offering but it’s such a substantial savings, it’s well worth mentioning. A typical cart rental from a golf course in the province is between $20 - $27.
-
If you’re a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, you have access to a special rate of $41.66.
Riverbend Golf Club

Riverbend is a long 18-hole course that winds along the Naashwaak River, one of the rivers in Fredericton that feeds into the Saint John River. Riverbend is fairly open with decently sloped and intricate greens making approach forgiving but the short game challenging. Riverbend has a deal that, if you’re playing in a group, can certainly add up to decent savings.
- For June, July and August, golfers can play 18 holes for $32, $6 off the regular green fee when golfing between Monday and Wednesday.
Carman Creek
Carman Creek is a fun, educational, and unsuspectingly challenging 9-hole course comprised of par threes and fours. The second half of the course introduces tricky water placements that force a tight approach game. It’s a fantastic place to bring junior players, new players, or larger groups looking for a relaxing, fun time. Carman Creek has a ton of golf deals. Here are some highlights.
-
Golfers below the age of 10 play for free when an adult pays a full green fee.
-
If you’re under 18, you pay $16.52 for nine holes, which is $24.35 regular price.
-
On Wednesdays from 11am until 3pm, two players can golf 9 holes and get a warm-up bucket of balls (to be used at their range) for $33.04. This deal is a $62 value.
Gilridge Golf Club
Another 9-hole course in the city, Gilridge Golf Club is a woodsy course which forces tight iron play. Despite being only being 14 minutes from downtown, this course feels like golfing in a secluded meadow. This is a great course to bring new golfers, young golfers or a group looking for a good time.
-
Gilridge offers the “911 pass,” healthcare workers, firefighters, police and Armed Forces members pay $25 for 18 holes ($32.18 normally) or $15 for 9 holes ($23.48 normally).
-
All day Wednesday, two players can golf nine holes for $33.04. This would typically cost $46.96

Kingswood, Mactaquac, West Hills all have excellent restaurants to grab a bite or a pint at after your round. If you’re not feeling like staying around the course, pop into the downtown and experience the city’s food and drink scene. With so many local options you’re bound to find something your group likes.
There is one downtown deal specific to golfers. If you bring your scorecard down to Par94, a sports/golf simulator bar, they will give you an additional 25% off your bill. Grab a couple drinks on their patio or book a simulator and have a long drive competition with your buddies.
