New Brunswick's only science centre with over 100 hands- on exhibits that teach the basics of science in a fun & entertaining way. Great week long summer camps for kids aged 8-12, with themes like Forensic Science and Potions, Illusions and Mysteries. Featuring a hands-on outdoor playground, many special events, exhibits, lectures, workshops and demos, the centre is located in the former York County Jail and many of the original features of this distinguished historic building have been preserved - the cells, with heavy barred doors, now house interactive exhibits, and the original pressed-tin ceiling panels and wooden floors can still be seen. Exhibits in the basement cells display jail artefacts and present the histories of some of the more notorious inmates.
