Where the streets come alive to the sound of jazz and blues…

** Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the 2020 edition of the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival has been cancelled. We look forward to what is in store for 2021!

From humble beginnings in 1991, Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival has grown into Atlantic Canada’s premier international music festival experience, featuring such legendary artists as Levon Helm and Colin James, and launching up-and-coming acts like local favourite Matt Andersen.

Celebrated each September, six blocks of downtown Fredericton are transformed into a musical and sensory experience, with indoor and outdoor stages, street musicians, buskers, food trucks and more around every corner! Whether you love the rush of the crowds in some of Harvest’s larger tents, or if you prefer to see an artist in a small pub with a few of your best friends, or even if you simply want to enjoy one of the many free performances on one of the streets downtown, Harvest offers something for every taste.

Known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, intimate venues, and run by more than 1,000 local volunteers, Harvest’s reputation for fun, friendship and a rollicking good time makes it a favourite with the artists and visitors alike. And the small-city relaxed vibe means that you can often see festival headliners like Michael Franti wandering around downtown barefoot after a local yoga class, or happen upon Robert Plant warming up for his North American world tour at the local theatre venue. Now THAT is a festival experience you can brag about!
