

Tourism is big business and growing in Fredericton and the Capital region. In 2007, it was a $208.4 million dollar industry.
Fredericton Tourism is a division within the Department of Development Services of the City of Fredericton and the destination marketing and development organization for the area.
Along with Fredericton Tourism, there are a variety of organizations in the capital area involved in tourism-related activity;
Rendez-Vous Fredericton is a marketing and sales partnership focused on developing the meetings, conventions and sport events sector of the tourism industry, led by Fredericton Tourism.
Capital Region Tourism Association (CRTA) was established in the early 90's to be a voice and advocacy organization for tourism operators in the capital region on issues such as taxis, Sunday/Holiday shopping, smoking, highway signage and marketing campaigns.
The Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB) represents the Industry in many of the same issues of concern to GFTA, but it does so on a provincial level. Fredericton Tourism stays abreast of the activities of this organization and currently has a representative on the TIANB board.

Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, awarded "Chamber of the Year" several times, is a not-for-profit membership business organization representing a united voice of over 850 members. The Chamber assists in maintaining and developing social and economic standards, works actively on legislation, and acts on behalf of businesses to ensure the development and continuation of the free enterprise system.

Downtown Fredericton Inc. (DFI) is a non-profit Business Improvement Area (BIA) organization who's mission is to create and foster, on behalf of downtown business, an environment that attracts people to live, work, play, do business, invest and visit downtown Fredericton.

Business Fredericton North's objectives include marketing the Business District as a positive place in which to do business, shop and be entertained.

Mactaquac Country Chamber of Commerce operates a tourism info kiosk in the River Valley Visitor Information Centre, a provincially run centre.
