It’s no secret that Fredericton loves markets! Depending on the day of the week, you have a choice of several different markets all located quite close together! This itinerary is a guide to help you catch them all, so pack your mask, grab your shopping basket, and head out to #SupportFredLocal!

Thursday:
Experience downtown Fredericton come alive Thursday nights at the Garrison Night Market! The summer night market sets up in the Historic Garrison District from June 9 to September 8, 2022, every Thursday from 4:30 - 9:00 pm. The market features local and imported handmade products, art, craft & design, clothing, locally grown farm products, local microbrews, ciders & spirits, youth entrepreneurs, buskers, and, of course - food!
Friday:
Taste your way around the globe today with food markets offering up international cuisine!
Visit Food Market at the Ex, located on the Provincial Exhibition Grounds at 361 Smythe Street. A new “grab and go” food market, the Food Market at the Ex and offers a wide variety of international flavours, featuring 10 vendors with fair ranging from Indigenous, Greek, Syrian, Jamaican, Korean and Mexican. The market runs Fridays 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Cultural Market is downtown at 435 King Street and offers unique international foods and local delicacies. Since the market is open six days a week, you have the chance to criss-cross the globe simply by crossing the market with its wide variety of international dishes. Open Monday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sundays 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Saturday:
First stop, since they open early, is the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market located at 665 George Street. One of Canada's Top 10 Community Markets, the market is a favourite Saturday morning tradition for both locals and visitors. The Market is open every Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Farmers, artisans, and craftspeople offer a tempting variety of fresh meat, garden vegetables, home baked goods, maple syrup, flowers, handcrafts, jewelry and more! Some of the vendors have been here for several generations and are as interesting as their wares!
Head across the river for our newest market, The Northside Creators Market, located indoors at 170 Main Street. This market runs Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This market focuses on locally made goods and produce that showcases our Northside community. Another great place to experience cuisine from around the globe, get ready to taste test flavours from the Caribbean, authentic traditional English baked goods, delicious Indian food and more - it will be hard to leave without bringing a little of everything home!

Sunday:
Gagetown Farmers' Market is a seasonal outdoor farmers' market is located in the beautiful Village of Gagetown. We suggest taking the scenic drive, which will have you cross the Wolastoq in Lower Jemseg to Gagetown on the beloved FREE Gagetown Ferry. The market is open every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. until October 2. This market is the perfect place to find local produce, baking, treats, cider, flowers, gift items, and more. While there, spend time strolling through the quaint village browsing the artisan shops and historic sites!
On your way to or from Gagetown watch for two country farm stands on Route 105 in Maugerville!
Moxon’s Country Pumpkin grows and picks fresh veggies daily from their fields so there’s always a great variety of fresh vegetables available. There’s a wonderful bakery onsite with homemade breads, rolls and goodies. The farm animals are a big hit with the kids!
Harvey’s Big Potato – Silver Valley Farms - you’ll know you’re there when you see the giant potato on the side of the road! The Big Potato has been gracing Maugerville since 1969 and farming for decades. They sell everything from apples to zucchini, much of it from their own farm fresh produce.
