Fredericton boasts a magnificent network with over 85kms of trails along the beautiful St. John and Nashwaak Rivers. The trail system is ideal for walkers, runners and bikers with connection to the greater Trans Canada Trail. Many of the trails follow old railway lines, including the Old Train Bridge that spans 0.6km across the St. John River, providing one of the most spectacular views of downtown Fredericton! The trails are wide, flat, safe, and wheelchair accessible.

There are many directions you can travel with many attractions and amenities located along the trails. Trails are fully signed indicating washrooms, attractions, and conveniences. A complete Trail Guide Map produced by the Fredericton Trails Coalition is available at the three Fredericton Tourism Visitor Information Centres, the Lighthouse on the Green, Community Services Dept (335 Queen St.) and at the Trail Visitor Centre located on the Northside of the trail, 300m from the Old Train Bridge.

This location offers tremendous opportunities to explore the St. John River. Canoe and kayak rentals, bike rental, and 9.4 km Valley Trail, there is something for everyone.
