THE NEW BRUNSWICK PROVINCIAL EXHIBITION (FORMERLY THE FREX), August 31 - September 6, 2014 (September 6 - 12, 2015)

A tradition since 1827, the New Brunswick Provincial Exhibition is fun for all ages. This week-long special event features an agricultural show, draft horse show, provincial Holstein show, world class entertainment, harness racing, stage shows and commercial exhibits along with lots of carnival games and food. Including the famous “dippy dog”. Kids will love the midway rides, aerial shows, petting zoo, pony rides and more.
VINTAGE IN THE VILLAGE, September 6, 2014 (September 5, 2015)

Step back in time and enjoy a historical wine-tasting walk through the Village of Gagetown. Visit various locations in the Village as you sip your way through town. Ticket price includes a custom-made wine goblet made my a local artisan.
FEAST IN THE FIELD, September 7, 2014 (September 13, 2015)
Enjoy an afternoon filled with delicious food and drink, wonderful entertainment and beautiful scenery in support of Ability New Brunswick. A variety of chefs preparing different cuisines will be in the Square dishing out samples of their specialties for you to try!

It’s the best international festival experience on Canada’s East Coast, with the best in jazz, blues and world music taking centre stage. During six incredible days in historic downtown Fredericton, the annual festival features over 350 artists and 125 performances on 23 stages, all within four city blocks. Acclaimed international performers and top regional acts share the stage for a music experience like no other. Expect gritty acoustic and electric blues, traditional and progressive jazz, rock, soul, Cajun/Zydeco and more. Venues include big top tents, theatres, national historic sites, closed streets, pubs and clubs.

Start your shopping early at the Fredericton Fall Craft Show! There is jewellery, wood, sewing, knitting, crochetting, pottery, painting, drawing, felting, ceramic, glass, clothes, sweaters, everything for babies and toddlers, fudge, chocolates, candies and on and on. Performances of all kinds await you at the Pre Pop Festival! This five-day festival is jam-packed with shows on all levels of the Capital Complex. Tickets are available for individual shows or for the entire festival.
MUSIC NB FESTIVAL, October 16 - 19, 2014
Downtown Fredericton will resonate in all things music as New Brunswick artists and industry professionals will be meeting over the course of four days to celebrate all the best the province has to offer. The highlight of the event, the MNB Awards Gala will take place on Sunday, October 19. Festival passes are just $40 +tax! NEW BRUNSWICK BEER TOURS, November 1, 2014
Discover New Brunswick's burgeoning brewing industry with New Brunswick Beer Tours. Our inaugural trip will take place on November 1 with stops at the brand new Rail Car Brewing Company as well as Big Axe. We'll sample beer at each location and have some available on the bus as well. We'll return to Fredericton to visit some of what the Capital City has to offer and sample at the King Street Ale House. Lunch included with your ticket, though stops are subject to change.

FREDERICTON BEER RUN, 2015
Start location: Delta Fredericton
Join the Fredericton Beer Run on New Brunswick Day as they host a run through beautiful downtown Fredericton, followed by some fantastic brews! There will be a 6km route and a 12km route. Registration for each costs $50, and includes a custom beer stein, running bib, and 14 tickets for 4oz. pours. Registration opens at 11am and the races begin at noon.

A two-week festival celebrating classical chamber music, featuring the works of selected composers played by Canada’s most talented classical musicians. Festival includes concerts, music discovery talks, free community performances, kids’ events and workshops.

Officers’ Square will come alive with the annual New Brunswick Fine Crafts Festival, hosted by the New Brunswick Crafts Council. Featuring original works by award-winning New Brunswick crafts people, this festival will not only provide a vibrant environment for community members to discover stunning, locally made craft, such as pottery, jewelry, sculpture, glassware, and wood, but also feature live art demonstrations, live performances from local musicians, a kids craft corner, local food vendors, henna and face painting, and a beer garden sponsored by Picaroons.
