Provincial Archives of New Brunswick

This building is a must see for family history buffs! Year-round the Provincial Archives offers a behind the scenes tour on Thursdays (reservations required) where guests are introduced to the vast holdings at this centre for primary research in New Brunswick history. Learn the processes involved in collecting and preserving documents, including maps, photos, textual and digital records, sound recordings, architectural plans, papers of families and individuals, film and video.

Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Love history? The Provincial Archives have made their archivists available to take you behind-the-scenes of New Brunswick's archives. You’ll start with an overview of this gorgeous building and see where and how records are stored. The holdings are expansive – texts, family papers, maps, architectural plans, photos, sound recordings, films and video. You’ll leave with a deep connection to New Brunswick’s history and a great understanding of how well it’s preserved.
