Float Your Cares Away!

Who wouldn’t want to lazily float on a tube meandering down the Nashwaak River? Nashwaak Tubing is a popular way to cool off and relax and is located within a 15-minute drive from downtown! It’s wise to call before you head out to avoid disappointment; be sure to call and reserve your tube(s)!

Unique Tours and Experiences!

Learn about the history of Fredericton through entertaining walks through the downtown with a lively, local theatre troupe, be adventurous by throwing an axe, climb the walls or search for the missing clues!

Guided Heritage Walking Tours

Learn about the fascinating history and folklore of Fredericton with a costumed guide! This approximate 1-hour (bilingual) tour runs daily from City Hall from June 13 - July 1 and September 5 - October 10 at 4pm. From July 2, tour times change to 10am & 2:30pm.

Haunted Hikes

With equal doses of frights and chuckles, this lantern lit ghost walk through downtown Fredericton is a great family favourite! Meet at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery Amphitheatre, Tuesday – Saturday, at 9pm ($15 for Adults and $10 for kids); reservations are recommended.

Outdoor Summer Theatre

Take in live theatre all summer long! The best part? It’s free!  Four different plays are rotated throughout the summer season, with various themes ranging from energy conservation to the history of New Brunswick and Canada.  Bring your lunch and meet at the Christ Church Cathedral grounds at 12:15pm weekdays or 2pm during weekends from July 1st until Labour Day.

Wabanaki Tree Spirit Tours

Learn about what grows around us and how it can be used medicinally and ceremonially with the Medicine Walk Tour.  Interested in adding on a culinary component to your tour? Take advantage of the Culinary Experience where you can sample food made the traditional way, giving you a truly authentic experience. Tours take place in the old growth forest of Odell Park, with Wabanaki medicine keepers and guides Cecilia and Anthony Brooks. Reservations are required.

HaliMac Axe Throwing

The most fun you’ll have with an axe! (safely, of course!) This unique experience pairs you up with your own corralled area with a target.  With a quick orientation, you are ready to test your aim! With a selection of local craft brews and appies, this makes for a fun night out with friends!

Fredericton Bouldering Co-op

Have you ever wanted to do the Spiderman thing, and climb the walls? Now you can! The Fredericton Bouldering Co-op offers morning drop in climbs and weekend “women’s only” climbs among other options.  Take your fitness to the next level (literally!) and challenge yourself with a climb to the top!

Science East Jail Tours & Science Shows

In Jail. Now what? From shackles and isolation, to metre-thick walls, 300lb cell doors and barbed wire, the former York County Jail was designed and built as a place of incarceration from 1842-1996.  New since 2021, the Jail Tour at Science East Science Centre will unveil the people, places and events of this fascinating architectural treasure in the heart of downtown Fredericton! Learn more about the additional science shows running all summer!

Hydrobikes & Scooters to Rent!

Did you hear? Cruze Scooters has Hydrobikes and Electronic Scooters to rent at the Delta and their newly opened location on 150 Smyth Street!
What better way to get up close and personal to the beautiful St John River than on Fredericton's first hydrobikes in partnership with Cruze Scooters! Six hydrobikes are available for hourly, half day or full day rentals on the Delta Dock and Smyth. This is one experience I NEED to try!

Or maybe you’d like to do something land-based? All three locations have electronic scooters for rent! You’ve likely seen them around Fredericton, and if you find yourself getting a little green with envy, you’re in luck! You can try them out by renting them at the Delta or 150 Smyth Street!

Kings Landing

Step back in time! This living history museum depicts life in rural New Brunswick in the 19th century, from feeling the floorboards shake as a giant water-powered saw produces shipbuilding lumber at the Sawmill to catching a whiff of Mrs. Lint’s hearty soup simmering over the crackling fire, you’ll leave having experienced the 1800s — not just having heard tales.

Fredericton Region Museum

Learn about the history of Fredericton and surrounding area with interactive exhibits as well as the infamous 42-pound Coleman Frog. Look for new exhibits commemorating Black History as well as one of famed Frederictonian Stanton Friedman, UFO researcher. The other cool detail? The museum is housed in what used to be the “Officers’ Quarters” in historic Officers’ Square. Reservations are required.

Garrison Skatepark

How’s your Ollie’s and kick flips? Fredericton’s newest (and largest in New Brunswick) 15,000 sq2 skate park features a large selection of world-class plaza terrain and a one-of-a-kind modern bowl complex with 3 bowls - the largest at 8’6”! Meant to cater to all ages, the new skatepark is situated right downtown.

If you’ve never tried paintball before, it is a blast! Come out with your bubble or show up to walk on the course, the choice is yours! The knowledgeable staff will outfit you in the gear needed and off you go! Choose between 3 different playing fields for maximum fun!

Tree-Go Mactaquac
