The Abbey Café & Gallery | 546 Queen Street
The Abbey is always ready to serve you healthy vegan food, homemade sweets, soups, locally roasted Whitney Coffee and vegan grocery items but we’re here to talk about the snacks! This is a great place to satisfy your tooth, with a daily offering of house made vegan energy balls, chocolate chip pumpkins cookies, chocolate cake with a thick layer of peanut butter frosting and MORE!

Let’s move on to lunch. Although there are many options for a veg forward lunch in Fredericton, we’re going to go with The Cultural Market. Now conveniently open 7 days a week, The Cultural Market is a treasure trove for cuisine from around the globe! Vendor, Saffron Indian Foods is the place to go for authentic Indian cuisine, they even have a “Veg of the Day” option, including dishes like Mixed Vegetable Korma or Zucchini and Squash in Daal. Pinoy Point boasts a selection of popular Filipino food, many with vegetarian choices. You can even pick up a beverage and vegan dessert from on-site, Cafe Loka on King!

An uptown restaurant, serving fresh Vietnamese & Thai cuisine, Number One Noodle offers a wide selection of vegan (and gluten free!) options. Here you can find fan favorites like pad thai, pho and tofu rice paper rolls.
Hana Ethiopian Cafe & Takeout | 154 Main Street
A hidden gem on Fredericton’s Northside, Hana’s Ethiopian food contains a variety of exotically spiced veggies that are best enjoyed with injera, a sourdough flatbread that is made for dippin.’ The fun part is choosing from a variety of dishes such as split lentils, turmeric potatoes and carrots or fresh green beans, to build your ideal meal combo!
