Fredericton’s favorite winter celebration, FROSTival (January 21 – February 7) is sure to deliver memories made for winter. Plan a fun weekend with your bubble, take in some great live music by local musicians, visit our local taprooms to collect some cool prizes, construct some cool crafts with the kids, immerse yourself in theatre, or cuddle up next to a cozy campfire. It’s official - FROSTival delivers something for everyone!

FROSTival brings a combination of indoor and outdoor fun! Take a walk around the downtown to spot some pretty “cool” ice sculptures in progress with the Downtown Fredericton Ice Sculpture Showcase, play a fun round of “CrokiCurl” a new FROSTival event in Officers’ Square, or be a spectator to an awesome outdoor digital production outside at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, take in some great events at Crabbe Mountain and settle in around the campfire with a singalong! 

There are lots of ways to be entertained during FROSTival! The Fredericton Playhouse comes to life with comedy by James Mullinger and the wildly popular kids’ ensemble, “Scotty & the Stars”, as well as the annual NB Country Showcase (virtually). 

FROSTival means creating opportunities to have some fun and learn something too! Immerse yourself in art as a spectator and as a participant; attend the “Out of the Blue” art show or sign up for a virtual paint night.  How about learning some science?  For all of the whisky lovers out there, why not visit the Lunar Rogue, known as “One of the great whisky bars in the world” according to Whisky Magazine; sample single malt whisky with Whisky connoisseur and owner, Frank Scott. 

FROSTival means embracing the outdoors! Hit the slopes of Crabbe Mountain for $25 nights, half price night, the Everest Challenge and Speed Week.  Bundle up for a wintery sleigh ride, head out to Mactaquac for a full roster of winter activities, and new this year, “CrokiCurl” – a combination of crokinole and curling!
