Gift Giving with a Twist – a Handmade Christmas

It’s never been this easy to tick those items off your holiday shopping list!  With Fredericton Tourism’s new on-line portal, “The Market Basket” you can even do your holiday shopping in pyjamas this year! The site showcases a wide array of locally produced, handmade, globally oriented products. And the best part? They’re unique and one of a kind, guaranteed to earn you the “best giver of gifts” title! 

The vendors listed below is by no means complete, there are over 125 currently on the website!  This is just a little something to pique your curiosity! We strongly encourage you to check out our site, www.themarketbasket.ca for the full list!

Here’s a few ideas to get you started:

Mulhouse Fine Foods – Fancy a fine brie or gruyere? The Mulder family have been in the business of providing you with a huge selection of cheeses and other fine foods for over 40 years, so they know their stuff!

Liminal Gardens – Permaculture-based market farm in Waterborough, NB selling organic sourdough breads and a small variety of produce.

Barnyard Woodworking – As their Facebook page says, they make everything from mailboxes to jelly cupboards! Barnyard Woodworking has a great selection of decorative wood products and antique styles that would definitely be a great gift to give or to receive!
