Local Frederictonians ‘Dish’ on the Best Takeout and Delivery Options!

Frederictonians have embraced the #SupportFredLocal movement, and for good reason! With the incredibly diverse range of food selections to choose from, we are blessed with a lot of choice! But don’t take our word for it, check out Fredericton Food to Go Facebook page; a great resource with lots of discussion, feedback and recommendations!
With the recent changes and restrictions beginning to relax, some restaurants are slowly starting to re-open. But, before heading out for date night, be sure to contact the restaurant directly.
Gillian Ash Richard wrote an enthusiastic review for 540 Kitchen:
“540 Kitchen & Bar did not disappoint tonight with birthday takeout feast! The North burger, Pad Thai, and sangria. So good!” Check out the review here.
The menu at 540 Kitchen is a compact one pager that includes all your faves, including the wildly popular pad Thai, burgers and comfort food like mac and cheese (with a twist!). Simply send them a PM on Facebook or give them a call.
Described as “Chinese Fast Food”, this is what one diner says about A Bite of Beijing:
“We ordered from A Bite of Beijing last night. It was really good. If you like to feel the burn then order the spicy incense pot rice bowl * Also pictured are the jianbing (cilantro lovers: order this!), veg dumplings, Beijing noodles and Chinese popcorn chicken (a hit with my daughter)” Melanie Gullison

Scooting back downtown, the Abbey Café is a well-known spot for super flavourful vegan foods and yummy homemade soups. Pair this with some Whitney coffee and you have yourself a nice healthy lunch! Here’s what Brittany Pye said:
“Stopped at the abbey for lunch today * half the burrito never made it to the photo”
If sushi is your “go-to” then there’s lots of chatter about Tomatachi sushi!
“If you’re looking for delicious sushi, I highly recommend Tomatachi!! Best sushi in town IMO!” Samantha Shea post.
In addition to sushi, they also have tempura, teriyaki and bento boxes. And for that extra challenge, use chopsticks!
While we are on the topic of sushi, there’s been quite few reviews about J’s Asian Kitchen from various patrons. Here is what Joni Burtt had to say!
“Bibimbap, Philadelphia roll, and pad Thai all made gluten free from J’s Asian Kitchen. Sushi was great, pad Thai was the best we have ever had!!”
In the mood for a little pub food? Mama’s Brew Pub is known for its big portions and did not disappoint with their famous chicken wings!

For the little Italian in you, Moco Downtown can prepare things like Duck Ravioli and Chicken Marsala…sounds so delicious! Check out Karen Grant ‘s comments:

The Northside’s newest eatery, Hana’s Ethiopian restaurant, has created some buzz with their menu items, with a good selection of vegetarian options.
Angela Wiebe-Ford says, “Hana’s Ethiopian was amazing!”
One of Fredericton’s favourite pizza spots, Fadi’s is known for its great toppings and donairs. Just ask Beth Fairbairn! :
Fadi’s for the win tonight. Seriously, killer donair (I like mine baked in the oven with cheese) and amazing pizza.
Not to be outdone, Milda’s pizza is known for their delicious crust and funky toppings! Maiya Bravener comments, “Milda's All Meats! The best hands down!”
Monks & Jonesie's Peanut Butter Pie, Nate dog and Mac n cheese bites? Now that’s some comfort food! Monks & Jonesie Gastro Truck fed us for a kid free date night!!!! (thank you bubble grandma) It was perfect.... My peanut butter pie is waiting for me in the fridge! (Anna Rachel)
