Scary Stuff! Halloween in Fredericton

For the young and young at heart, what other time of year do you get to don your favourite costume, where it becomes socially acceptable to take on the personality of someone or something else!

The great thing about Halloween is that it is for EVERYONE! From little pirates and princesses to adult size pirates and princesses, pumpkin carving and haunted houses, Fredericton has so many choices for all ghosts and goblins.  We have a few things to get your fright on, both for young and old! 

Terror on Dedham Street

Not for the faint of heart! Held at St. Mary’s First Nation, choose from High Scare to No Escape and be prepared for a the scare!

Nightmare on Smythe Street
October 16-20 | The New Brunswick Provincial Exhibition

How about trying this haunted house? This fan favourite is back at its new home this year – the Capital Exhibit Centre! Tickets: $10 for adults age 13 & up, $5 for children under 12(must be accompanied by an adult).

Mactaquac Scare Fair

Take a wagon ride through Mactaquac campground, a.k.a.”Booville” – that’s not scary, you say? Well, what was formerly a peaceful, quiet campground has been transformed into zombie walking, chainsaw wielding journey of terror… all you need to gain admittance is a non-perishable food item, oh and dress for the weather as all activities will be outdoors.

APEGNB Haunted tour

October 25-28 | Charlotte Street Arts Centre

The historic Charlotte Street Arts Centre is the perfect setting for the annual Haunted Tour.  The Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB) are the creators of this scary event, transforming the old school into a creepy and terrifying experience.  And this year, they have MORE frights in store with new props and more time spent in the creepy basement! This tour is meant for the very “scare-tolerant!”

Science East Low Scare Tour

For kids ages 3 and up, the APEGNB Haunted Tour (Low Scare) offers little ghosts and goblins spooky delights and fascinating sights with the all the intrigue of Science East’s location in the old York County Jail building at 668 Brunswick St. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
