Harvest Jazz & Blues FREE Programming!

LOTS of FREE shows offered at Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival 2019!

The sights & sounds of the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival will soon take over our city. The store window displays, the tents and the street closure provide visual cues that something exciting is taking place in downtown Fredericton. People will be travelling in from all over the globe to enjoy the festivities; some people have scheduled vacation days to volunteer and thousands of people will be enjoying the many activities the festival provides. Let the good times roll!

As you finalize your plans, I want to draw your attention to the extensive FREE shows programmed over 5 days of the festival (Wednesday to Sunday). These scheduled shows will provide an opportunity to experience live music in its many forms, in various locations and at different times during the day.

Harvest will present 30+ FREE performances on 5 separate stages over 5 days throughout downtown Fredericton!

Possibly the longest running free stage of the festival is the King’s Place Stage providing lunch time entertainment (12 to 1:15PM) featuring The Alex Bailey Swing Band on Wednesday, The Rusty Mikes on Thursday and Garrett Mason on Friday.

Fredericton’s Own Stage is located at City Hall and serves to highlight our home grown talent

The Acoustic Stage will be located on Queen Street within the street closure and will run Wednesday 6:30PM to 9:30PM and Thursday & Friday 5PM to 9:30PM featuring Furlong & Smith, Morgan Davis, Neil Morash, Leeboy, Grateful Gospel and more!

The Fredericton Public Library will host a couple workshops on Saturday afternoon with Doug Rigaux leading a drum workshop at 2PM and a yet to be announced workshop at 2:30PM.

Of course the Officers’ Square Stage is always a big draw and a family favourite featuring Scotty & the Stars and CJ Chenier on Saturday starting at 11:15AM and on Sunday between 1PM – 4:30PM we’ll be treated to the great sounds of STU Jazz and both Angelique Francis and Kenny Blues Boss Wayne backed by Ben Racine.

So as you make your way through our downtown streets, greeting friends all along the way, you can be sure to hear many amazing musicians for FREE on all of these stages as well as by the numerous buskers & performers along the way. Enjoy it all!
