If you don’t get into the holiday spirit from these shows, then check your pulse! If you are a Franki Valli and the 4 Seasons fan, then “Oh What a Night! Christmas Show” is worth checking out.  The annual Nutcracker Tea at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery is an annual event that will be sheer delight for the kids and the young at heart.  If you are a fan of the Nutcracker ballet, the Fredericton Playhouse will feature this annual ballet with celebrated soloists from theatre companies around the country.

Music to get you into the spirit of it all! If you grew up in the ‘70s and ‘80s you will definitely recall that Christmas isn’t Christmas without Charlie Brown! The Jerry Granelli Trio present “Tales of a Charlie Brown Christmas”. But wait, there’s more! From Ireland, the “Celtic Tenors” will peform some holiday favourites and from Northern NB, “Les gars du nord” will perform their annual holiday show.  Symphony NB will perform Handel’s “Messiah” with guest conductor Michael Newnham, and from Newfoundland, the Ennis Sisters will get your toes tapping with “A Christmas Time with the Ennis Sisters”.  And last but certainly not least, Measha Bruegergossman will be back to perform two shows in “Christmas in my Hometown”.Measha Brueggergosman

Tastes of the Season

A perfect accompaniment to the Sunday Christmas Market, enjoy a brewski with a Christmas Beer Garden at the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market.

Celebrate downtown!

Fredericton does it up right with lights and a great festive atmostphere!  A couple of favourites, and one that is new to Fredericton for 2018.  The annual Santa Claus Parade is on the South side this year, complete with Santa as the guest of honor.  Be dazzled by the lights with the Christmas Tree Lighting with a parade that starts at the Legislative Assembly Building, ending at City Hall.  New this year is the “Carols by Glowstick” where carols are sung by the light of many glowsticks in historic St Pauls United Church; kids will love this one!
