Canada Day in Fredericton

Canada Day in Fredericton

OH Canada! We have lots to celebrate and the Fredericton Canada Day Civic Pride Committee have another great event planned and invite everyone to join them to celebrate in downtown Fredericton. As with the past two years, the kick-off party on Saturday, June 30th will include four hours of free live entertainment in Officers’ Square. Food vendors will be on site and a licensed area will be in place.

On Canada Day, Sunday July 1st, we can look forward to a full day of free entertainment and family activities as well as a beautiful fireworks display over the Saint John River.

Fredericton's Canada Day Celebrations 2018 are sure to impress many with its great musical line up featuring top Canadian musicians Ria Mae and Classified as headliners.

Barracks Square will a dedicated all ages fun zone with bouncy castles, pony rides, face painters, food vendors, and games. As it’s been in the past, the stage along with the licensed area offering a local craft beer option will be located in Officers’ Square.

To ensure the best view from both sides of the river, the fireworks will be launched from the Westmorland Street Bridge at 10:45PM on Sunday, July 1st. There will again be a performance in Officers' Square immediately following the fireworks, this year featuring Moncton's The Motorleague.

Speaking of music, the kick off celebrations on Saturday night will see Juno Award Winning hit maker Classified, also known as Luke Boyd, take to the stage. Classified has often worked with one of our hometown favourites David Myles. Check out this video of one such collaboration here:

Then on Sunday July 1st, ECMA and Juno nominated artist Ria Mae will be the headlining act to top off a full day of FREE entertainment. Ria is known for her catchy pop songs and endearing personality. She will surely add to the day’s celebrations.

Goodnight, Sunrise is an indie-rock-and-roll-super-fun-dance-party band from Toronto bringing us their music on Sunday evening.

The Motorleague is a four-piece Moncton based rock band who leave an impression everywhere they go. They are very talented and tons of fun so we can be sure of a fantastic finale to what is sure to be a great night!
