It’s Beer Week in Fredericton!

It's all about the beer. Pure. Simple.

It's that most wonderful time of the year again... time for Fredericton Craft Beer Festival. In the years since its inception in 2013; the brainchild of Lloyd Chambers and Doug Williams (King Street Ale House) the FCBF has evolved from a one-day one day event into a week-long celebration. Fredericton Craft Beer Festival is more than just good craft beer; it is cider, mead, and good times.

Fredericton Craft Beer Week

At the inaugural event in 2013, there were 20 breweries participating, providing 90 different beers to 550 attendees. This year, in the Fredericton Convention Center, over 70 breweries will be providing samples of over 250 different kinds of beer, mead, and cider, to over 2000 attendees at Saturday's main events (afternoon and evening sessions). This year will also feature the release of FCBF Collaboration Ale, a collaboration of several of NB's best breweries. FCBF has also expanded to organize events in almost every month of the year, including the Fredericton Burger Battle, Poutine Festival, Wine Festival, the Fredericton Beer Run, and more (but those blogs are for other days). FCBF is a not-for-profit organization, that last year donated $25,000 to charities (mainly the Canadian Diabetes Association and Type One Diabetes Research).

Unfortunately, if you don't already have your tickets for this year's main event sessions on March 10th, you are out of luck. VIP tickets for the evening session sold out in a matter of minutes, and all other tickets for the afternoon and evening were sold out shortly in the weeks following. But, do not despair, there are plenty of events as part of the FCBF week, including a new session called "Newbie Night" this year added to Friday night (9 March 2018). Newbie Night will feature some of the newest craft breweries in the area, many of which will not be available at the Saturday sessions.

You can find descriptions and tickets for all events on the FCBF Facebook page
