Fredericton Recreation invites you to a New Year’s Eve Family Celebration at the Nashwaaksis Field House and Fredericton Indoor Pool. Everyone is welcome, with games and activities designed for children from kindergarten to grade 6. It’s a family swim party with water slide, Tarzan rope, and swirl pool! Then play games at a carnival - you may even win prizes! Cap the evening with a family glow dance party, 5 – 9pm. Dress in white or neon and countdown 2017 at a special 9pm celebration!

The party starts early at Kingswood Entertainment Centre. Party hats, noise makers, bowling, laser tag, arcade, play climber, inflatable obstacle course, and games will keep your little party goers busy until they ring in the New Year (early!) so that even the sleepiest of partiers can celebrate the big night, or stay until the midnight countdown to 2018!

New Year's Day Celebrations

New Year’s day, join the Honourable Jocelyne Roy Vienneau at Government House to welcome 2018. The New Year’s Levee is a tradition, dating back hundreds of years. Enjoy cider, Acadian fricot, sweets, and two galleries, live entertainment, and traditional decorations throughout this National and Provincial Historic Site.

Mayor Mike O’Brien and members of Fredericton City Council will host a New Year’s Family Levee and free skate on January 1, 2018 at the Lady Beaverbrook Rink, 411 University Avenue, from 1:30 pm - 3 pm, a fun-filled, afternoon event designed to kick-off 2018. Visitors are invited to connect with the mayor and members of Council in the celebration, or take a spin on the ice with family and friends. Enjoy light refreshments, while quantities last.
