New this year: The Thursday night opening gala (Nov 2) will be held at the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market.  As part of the gala evening, a special feature entitled “The Capital Project Presents: Awesome; I shot that” brings you the best in the flourishing New Brunswick music scene. A live concert will feature segments of the documentary between performances by some of the bands featured in the documentary.  And the cool factor?  The whole event will be filmed and will serve as the end of the film and web series! In fact, audience members are invited to shoot clips of the event on their phone, and upload them to potentially be included in the documentary!

So if you are new to the SWFF you may be wondering what it’s all about.  Well, first let me mention the sheer affordability of this festival. For an extremely economical $40, you get an “All Access Pass”, gaining entry to any and all films over the 4 day period! You will never find a better price for this type of festival.  If you are student, even better! For $20 you can get the same All Access Pass.
