This week in Fredericton: July 24-30

Boy do we have a great week in store for you – starting with one of Fredericton’s most anticipated festivals – the NB Highland Games where you can be a Scot for the Weekend!  Follow that up with the Notable Acts Summer Theatre Festival  then get into the groove with the Tay Creek Music Festival!

Caber Toss, anyone?
This award-winning festival is in its 36th year and brings with it all the things that would make you proud to be Scottish, even if you aren’t! If you are a fan of the bagpipes you’ll want to be on the grounds of Government House from July 28-30; you will be among the many enjoying the music, highland dancing, traditional Scottish games (hence the caber toss!) , and so much more Scottish shenanigans!

PLUS the Fredericton Society of Saint Andrew Pipe Band celebrates their 90th birthday in style Friday night in the Ceilidh Tent – a not to be missed show! The Highland Games Festival is a full weekend of fun that’s not to be missed!

From established to emerging playwrights to actors and directors, you will definitely be amazed at the sheer talent in our province with the Notable Acts Theatre Festival!  The plays are set amid the backdrop of many local venues!
