Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival 2017 delivering an A-List of Talent!

For music lovers everywhere today is a special day because the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival launched their 2017 line-up stacked with amazing international, Canadian and local talent! The 27th edition of the festival will take place September 12-17 making it a significant week of the year for the city. The schedule is eagerly anticipated by many and today’s announcements do not disappoint.

“This line-up pairs international headline acts and Fredericton favorites with buzz bands and rising stars, which positions New Brunswick as a major destination event on the North American festival circuit.”

Let’s take a look at a few of the bands coming to Harvest 2017!

Trans-Canada Highwaymen

The supergroup Trans-Canada Highwaymen has four of Canada’s best ever songwriters - Moe Berg (The Pursuit Of Happiness), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Craig Northey (Odds), and Steven Page (Ex-Barenaked Ladies) – joining forces to perform their hit songs and share road stories about being part of a band. You can expect them to play on each other's songs and you can also expect them to rock.

Alex Cuba

Alex Cuba is a Latin Grammy/Juno winner, singer-songwriter who is not tied to tradition with his vast musical vision. His sugarcane-sweet melodies, pop-soul hooks and powerful guitar riffs are sure to be a favourite for Harvest goers.

Steven Page

Steven Page is returning to Harvest with his second solo release, Heal Thyself. His distinctive voice is among the most instantly recognizable in Canadian music and has accumulated numerous international awards while selling in excess of twelve million albums worldwide.


One of Canada’s preeminent pop/rock institutions, Hollerado has been touring extensively since 2009 and will be bringing us their latest album Born Yesterday released in April.

Trey Anastasio Band

These newly announced acts join the previously announced headliners including The Trey Anastasio Band, Colin James, Bruce Cockburn, Steve Earle and the Dukes, Martha Wainwright, Sloan, The Revivalists, Matt Andersen, Lettuce, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, The Marcus King Band, Terra Lightfoot, Sonya Rae and the Sleepwalkers, The National Reserve, Matt Minglewood Band, Garret Mason, Keith Hallett, Downtown Blues Band, The Honeyboys, Buck Tingley, Blind Dog and Quinn Bonnell.
