Fredericton, NB - This Saturday, April 4th, edVentures Fredericton and the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) will be holding an open house. Local residents have a chance to get creative and explore the NBCCD, meet faculty and students, and experience first hand what edVentures Fredericton is all about.
The open house will run from 11am - 4pm, downtown in the Historic Garrison District (457 Queen Street). The day will consist of numerous activities, demonstrations and exhibitions. For a complete list of demonstrations please visit www.edVentures.ca
With so many activities planned, there is something for everyone. Enjoy a number of the live demonstrations taking place throughout the NBCCD by the instructors including CFQ Qigong Meditation & Movement, Egg Tempera, Fredericton Loyalist History, Fredericton Area Architectural History and Altered Art Painting.
Residents will have an opportunity to learn more about Atlantic Canada's largest learning vacation program in craft and culture, edVentures Fredericton and speak to many of the instructors about their upcoming workshops this summer.
Fredericton Tourism will be on hand to answer questions and give out information regarding workshops. They will also be doing on-site registrations and, if you register prior to June 1st you'll receive an early bird discount of 15% off adult registrations. In additional a second 'familiar face' discount offers participants registered in one weeklong workshop the opportunity to sign up for another weeklong workshop at 20% off the workshop fee.
There will also be a BBQ with proceeds going to the Student Representative Council. Parking is free, so make your way downtown this Saturday and see what all of the excitement is about.

edVentures Fredericton is in its second year of operation with over 120 workshops offered as five weekdays, and one or two-day weekend formats by more than 60 of New Brunswick's finest artists as instructors. Class sizes are small and intimate, giving students a one-on-one personal experience with your instructor. Most workshops are designed for adults and several children's workshops are available. New this year - a selection of workshops will be offered in French.
