Fredericton's International Airport (YFC) is conveniently located only minutes (14 km) from downtown Fredericton and is serviced daily by Air Canada and Westjet with hundreds of flights monthly.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS (to downtown Fredericton)

Click for a larger versionDriving North East from Bangor, Maine (about 3 hours) 
Take I-95 toward Orono / Houlton. The I-95 becomes New Brunswick's Route 95E. Merge onto the Trans Canada Hwy Route 2E toward Fredericton, continue for almost an hour. Merge onto Hwy-8 at exit 280, on the left toward Fredericton / Miramichi. Take Exit 3 onto Hanwell Road; go straight at first set of traffic lights continue on Hanwell Rd  to next set of lights and turn right onto Woodstock Rd, follow the signs for downtown and "?" visitor information centre.

Driving West from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (about 4 hours ) 
After exiting the Confederation Bridge, enter the roundabout and take the first exit on the New Brunswick's Route 15W. Merge onto the Trans Canada Hwy Route 2W via Exit 19B going toward Fredericton. Continue on this route for approximately 1 ½ hours.  Merge onto Hwy 7 at exit 294.  This will lead you to uptown Fredericton (Regent Street).  Take a right at traffic light on Regent Street to downtown, follow the sings for "?" visitor information centre.

Driving West from Moncton, New Brunswick (about  1 ½ hours ) 
Take the Trans Canada Hwy Route 2W toward Fredericton. Continue on this route for approximately 1½  hours.  Merge onto Hwy 7 at exit 294.  This will lead you to uptown Fredericton (Regent Street).  Take a right at traffic light on Regent Street to downtown, follow "?" visitor information centre signs.

Driving West from Saint John, New Brunswick (about  1 hour)
From Saint John, take Route 7N. Continue on this highway for approximately ½ hour.  Take the Hwy-2W ramp toward Oromocto / Fredericton. Continue on this route for approximately 10 minutes, take exit 294 onto Hwy-7 toward Fredericton / Miramichi / Mactaquac This will lead you to uptown Fredericton (Regent Street).  Take a right at traffic light on Regent Street to downtown, follow "?" visitor information centre signs.

Driving South from Miramichi , New Brunswick (only directions not on Trans Canada Hwy)
From Miramichi follow Route 8S.  Continue on this route for approximately 3 hours.  You will arrive at a set of traffic lights at Barkers Point in Fredericton. Take a right at the traffic lights onto Riverside Drive.  Follow the signs for downtown Fredericton.  At the 3rd set of lights go under the overpass and go across the Westmorland Street bridge.  At your 2nd set of lights turn left onto King Street and turn left at the next set of lights onto York Street, you have now reached the downtown Visitor Information Centre.

Driving West from Halifax, Nova Scotia (about 4 hours) 
From Halifax take the Hwy 102N exit toward the Airport. Merge onto Trans Canada Hwy 104W, where there is a Portions Toll.  Once you enter New Brunswick, you will be on Trans Canada Hwy 2 W.  Continue for this route for approximately 3 hours. Merge onto Hwy 7 at exit 294.  This will lead you to uptown Fredericton (Regent Street).  Take a right at traffic light on Regent Street to downtown, follow the sings for "?" visitor information centre.

Driving from Montréal
From Montreal take the Trans Canada Hwy Route 20E toward Rivière du Loup, Québec followed by the Trans Canada Hwy Route 185S toward Edmundston, New Brunswick. Merge onto Trans Canada Hwy Route 2E. Continue on this route for approximately 3 hours. Merge onto Hwy-8 at exit 280, on the left toward Fredericton / Miramichi. Take Exit 3 onto Hanwell Road; go straight at first set of traffic lights continue on Hanwell Rd to next set of lights and turn right onto Woodstock Rd, follow the signs for downtown and "?" visitor information centre.

RAIL SERVICE
Although trains do not travel directly into Fredericton, Via Rail serves New Brunswick with arrivals and departures from Moncton and Miramichi - within a 2 hour drive from Fredericton. Via Rail's Ocean travels between Montreal and New Brunswick every day but Tuesday. Board the train in Montreal in the evening, and be in Campbellton, Bathurst, Miramichi or Moncton before noon the next day. www.viarail.ca


MARITIME BUS 
Fredericton is part of a large network of bus routes provided by a new (as of Dec/2012) interprovincial bus service, Maritime Bus.   Passenger routes and parcel services are offered between New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. In Fredericton, the Maritime Bus Terminals are  located at: 105 Dundonald St. and the Fredericton Airport in Lincoln.
